Summer always seems to flit by so quickly. The fall season is upon us once again. This past year, your church council has been focused on three main areas: the financial strength of the church, the strategic plan and supporting the property development initiatives.
As you already know, the financial pressure the Church was under has been relieved by your generous giving. Thank you for your help!
Council would also like to recognize the hard work the Building Committee has done in developing alternate revenue streams through our new tenants Flower Pot and the Montessori school. Both of them are critical to our long-term stability.
Finally, your council continues to work through a process of discernment to develop a strategic plan that will define what First Lutheran is called to do and how we fit into the community.
I would also like to recognize the staff for all their hard work that keeps FLC the vibrant community of faith that it is. I'd especially like to welcome Yvonne back from her maternity leave. Her leadership and energy with the music team is truly a great blessing.
I wish all of you a joy-filled fall and I look forward to sharing the peace with you often. Blessings,
Council President, David Perks
